Generally identified with the term 'Liberal' in current UK politics, they are the third largest political party, taking 22% of the vote in the last election, but due to the First Past the Post electoral system their representation in parliament is much smaller.

The principal purpose of this law shall be to ensure the legal guarantees for citizens of Mongolia to form political parties (hereinafter referred to as parties) and their participation in the social and political life according to the rights which are proclaimed in the Constitution of Mongolia.
This law determines the main principles of the acitivies of parties and regulates the social relations relating to the forming and registration of parties, to the termination of its activites and the dissolution of parties.
If it is confirmed thatthe activities of a party contradict the provisions of the Constitution, this law or other laws of Mongolia, the charter or programme of the party, the Supremem Court of Mongolia shall require the removal of the infringements or the cessation of the activities of the party.
