Ukraine has a multi-party system, with numerous parties in which no one party often has a chance of gaining power alone, and parties must work with each other to form coalition governments.
This list of other parties is based on the parties and alliance that took part in the 30 march 2002 parliamentary elections and might be outdated now.

 Socialist Party of Ukraine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Socialist Party of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Sotsialistychna Partiya Ukrainy) is a political party in Ukraine, one of the oldest (registered in late 1990).
At the last legislative elections, 30 march 2002, the party won 6.9 % of the popular vote and 24 out of 450 seats in the Verkhovna Rada, and its candidate for the 1999 presidential elections, Oleksander Moroz, came third, with 11.3% of the vote in the first round.
Oleksander Moroz also participated in 2004 presidential elections; he also came third, and subsequently transferred his support to Viktor Yuschenko for the ultimately disputed run-off ballot.

Whereas in 1992 Ukraine had witnessed a fundamental realignment of political forces, resulting in the division of democratic forces into two camps (both were committed to independence, but some were pro-Kravchuk, while others were more restrained), by the end of 1993, the national democrats decided to unite for the March 1994 parliamentary elections.
Ukraine was given 16.37 percent of the former empire's assets and agreed to pay its share of the foreign debt.

Its list of 81 candidates is headed by chief editor of the paper Nash Chas Viktor Prysyazhnyuk (No. 1) and President of the Association of Farmers of Ukraine Mykola Shkarban (No. 3) but otherwise included few prominent figures.
The list includes the chief editor of the popular paper Kievskiye Vedomosti, Viktor Chayka, but the latter was recently expelled from Rukh after a bitter public dispute with Chornovil.
