This is a list of important publications in chemistry, organized by field.
Description: Boyle, in the form of a dialogue, argued that chemical theories should be firmly grounded in experiment before their acceptance, and for the foundation of Chemistry as a science separate to Medicine and Alchemy.
Aside from being one of the first Chemistry textbooks, the book was one of the first to state the Law of conservation of mass, define a chemical element, and contain a list of known elements.

The commission was created to study laws relating to public land to produce recommendations to ensure that the lands be retained and managed or disposed of for maximum public benefit.
Lists records of the Defense Mediation Board, the National War Labor Board, and the National Wage Stabilization Board, which were established successively in 1941-45 to maintain defense and wartime production by preventing or settling labor disputes.
This is one of a series of special lists describing the microfilmed records of World War II war crimes trials before the U.S. Military Tribunal from 1946 to 1949.

The work of Carolina Chemistry Associate Professor Sergei Sheiko et al, is featured both in a Nature article of March 9th, and in the March 13th issue of Chemistry & Engineering news.
David W. Russell, McDermott Distinguished Professor at the department of Molecular Genetics, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, was elected into The National Academy of Sciences on April 25th, 2006.
Professor Russell is a UNC alumnus who received his PhD from the Department of Chemistry in 1980 with Professor Linda Spremulli as his advisor.
