Flexeril Side Effects, and Drug Interactions - Cyclobenzaprine Hcl - RxList Monographs
Adverse reactions which were reported in 1% to 3% of the patients were: abdominal pain, acid regurgitation, constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, irritability, mental acuity decreased, nervousness, upper respiratory infection, and pharyngitis.
The following list of adverse reactions is based on the experience in 473 patients treated with FLEXERIL 10 mg in additional controlled clinical studies, 7607 patients in the post-marketing surveillance program, and reports received since the drug was marketed.
The overall incidence of adverse reactions among patients in the surveillance program was less than the incidence in the controlled clinical studies.

Guidance: Adverse Reactions Section of Labeling for Human Prescription Drug and Biological Products - Content and Format
Exhaustive lists of every reported adverse event, including those that are infrequent and minor, commonly observed in the absence of drug therapy or not plausibly related to drug therapy should be avoided (see § 201.57(c)(7) and the Glossary at the end of this guidance for a definition of Adverse Reaction).
The rates for reactions that are specific to a subgroup (e.g., gender-specific reactions such as menstrual irregularity) should be determined using the appropriate denominator, and that denominator should be identified in a footnote.
Adverse Reaction (21 CFR 201.57(c)(7)): For purposes of prescription drug labeling and this guidance, an adverse reaction is an undesirable effect, reasonably associated with the use of a drug, that may occur as part of the pharmacological action of the drug or may be unpredictable in its occurrence.

Fasting, Cleansing & Detoxification Reactions   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-10)
There are many different types of detox recipes a person can follow and also a lot of reactions that can occur, some of which can be very unpleasant.
The reason for the cleansing and fasting reactions is that toxins are released into the system via the blood and other eliminating fluids.
This occurs because the toxins in the blood cause it to thicken and hence cause a headache.

Chemical reaction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Classically, chemical reactions encompass changes that strictly involve the motion of electrons in the forming and breaking of chemical bonds, although the general concept of a chemical reaction, in particular the notion of a chemical equation, is applicable to transformations of elementary particles, as well as nuclear reactions.
The enthalpy of a reaction is calculated using standard reaction enthalpies and the Hess' law of constant heat summation.
Reaction rates are related to the concentrations of substances involved in reactions, as quantified by the law of mass action.

Reactions are listed in order with a reaction order number.

[No title]   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-10)
The purpose of covering all of these reactions isn't to torture you with vast lists of stuff to be memorized, but basically to tell you what organic is mostly about.
Of course, asking you to provide the products of a reaction, when done properly, doesn't just test your ability to reproduce from a list of memorized reactions, but asks if you understand the principles, and if you can apply these principles to a different situation or in a different context than you saw previously, i.e.
Note that this summary is meant to just remind you of the reactions, it doesn't include everything you need to know about them (mechanisms, for example), it doesn't include every stereochemical consequence, all the possible rearrangements, the different ways in which you will see them etc. However, it is useful way of getting started.

Must handle arbitrarily complex networks of reactions; a graph where the nodes are sets of molecules and the edges are the individual reaction steps.
Reactions are linked either explicitly (two reactions come from a single reference/sequence) or implicitly (two reactions share a common molecule).

 Chapter 8 - Chemical Reactions
A double replacement reaction (also known as a double displacement reaction or metathesis reaction) is one in which the positive ions of the two reactants switch places.
Since a synthesis reaction is one where two or more elements (or simple compounds) combine to form a single compound, the resulting product must contain all elements/ions present in the reactants without any leftover or additional elements/ions.
In a single replacement reaction, either the positive or negative ion of one reactant is replaced by the other reactant (an element that forms either a positive or negative ion).

Evaluation of Allergenicity of Genetically Modified Foods
Food allergies are adverse reactions to an otherwise harmless food or food component that involves an abnormal response of the body’s immune system to specific protein(s) in foods.
The list established by the Codex Committee on Food Labelling also includes gluten-containing cereals (wheat, rye, barley, oats and spelt) that are implicated in the aetiology of gluten-sensitive enteropathy.
However, the most sensitive food-allergic individuals will experience reactions from exposure to microgram to low milligram quantities or perhaps less of the offending food (limited studies have been conducted on threshold doses so the lowest-observed adverse effect level cannot be deduced precisely for any given allergenic food).

So a consumer may have an MSG-induced adverse reaction, but, since MSG in food, drugs, cosmetics, and dietary supplements is not identified as such, the consumer may not realize that (s)he has come into contact with MSG.
The "glutes" urge physicians to give allergy tests to people who might be MSG-sensitive, knowing full well that the MSG adverse reaction is a reaction to a toxin, not a reaction to an allergenic substance, and, as such, is not IgE mediated.
A reaction to MSG is not an allergic reaction.

 Alcohols
Of course, this raises the question: "Where do we get the RBr?" That takes us into the reactions of alcohols, because the most effective way to make alkyl halides is from alcohols.
In the case of the ketone, further oxidation would require breaking a carbon-carbon bond to one of the R groups which is quite difficult.
We'll finish today by reminding ourselves of a couple of reactions of alcohols which use their unshared electron pairs, acting as nucleophiles, to make new bonds to carbonyl carbons.

As patients have continued to report, this accumulation is evidence that accumulation of drug residue will produce a delayed withdrawal and that it will continue to produce reactions, not only during the period of time the patient is using the drug, but for long periods of time after discontinuation of the drug use.
