And the recipe portion shouldn't have been deleted because it was a single example of a recipe for that food dish, not a cookbook full of them.
As another example, (the stubby) Shortbread isn't a recipe, but it tells you the main ingredients and how it is cooked which is necessary in order to describe something closely linked to the cultural identity of Scotland to people who have never heard of it.
A recipe which is original probably shouldn't be here - it wouldn't be verifiable unless it was a minor variation of a well known cultural or celebrity or whatever recipe.
