Spacewalk -- Recommendations and Resources   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-15)
This is a list of extra-vehicular activities at the International Space Station.
This list of spacewalks includes some that took place inside a spacecraft i.e 28 May 1995 Dezhurov and Strekalov and 8 June 2001 Usachev and Voss.
In order to ensure the list is complete I believe the following should be included - in each case the crewmembers were wearing spacesuits with the spacecraft hatch open, but they did not exit the spacecraft.

 Space Station
Debris from the lost micrometeoroid shield further complicated matters by pinning the remaining solar panel to the side of the station, preventing its deployment and thus leaving the station with a huge power deficit.
The station underwent extensive repair during a spacewalk by the first crew, which launched on May 25, 1973 (the SL-2 mission) atop a Saturn IB.
After the failure of the second attempt to dock, the onboard cosmonauts conducted a spacewalk to fix the problem.

Extra-vehicular activity (via CobWeb/3.1 planetlab1.isi.jhu.edu)   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-15)
Astronaut Bruce McCandless on an untethered EVA Extra-vehicular activity (EVA) is work done by an astronaut away from the Earth and outside of his or her spacecraft.
The first EVA by a non-Soviet, non-American astronaut was made on 1988 December 9 by Jean-Loup Chrétien of France during a three-week stay on the Mir space station.
The first EVA that was a moonwalk rather than a spacewalk was made by American astronaut Neil Armstrong on 1969 July 20 when the Apollo 11 Lunar Module Eagle landed on the Moon.

 spacetoday.net: NASA reinstates ISS spacewalks
NASA put a hold on any spacewalks on Wednesday in part because of concerns that the handholds on the exterior of the US segment might have weakened because of a manufacturing defect.
The ban on spacewalks using Russian spacesuits remains in effect, though, because of missing or misplaced lithium hydroxide canisters used by Russian spacesuits.
No spacewalks are planned at the station until summer, but Thursday's decision would allow an emergency EVA to be conducted if necessary.

List of spacewalks and moonwalks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This list contains all spacewalks and moonwalks; that is, every occasion where an astronaut has fully or partially left his spacecraft.
All spacewalks have had the astronauts tethered to their spacecraft except for seven spacewalks by the U.S. (six in 1984 using the Manned Maneuvering Unit, one in 1994 using the SAFER rescue device).
Only 8 women have been on spacewalks, at least partly because the EVA suits are designed for a larger male frame.

spacetoday.net: ISS spacewalks put on hold
Space station managers have put a hold on any future spacewalks at the International Space Station because of concerns about handrails on the orbiting outpost as well as missing Russian hardware.
Tests should be completed by April to determine if the handrails on the station are safe to use Spacewalks using Russian equipment are also on hold because of missing canisters of lithium hydroxide used in Russian suits to scrub carbon dioxide from the air.
These problems do not affect any near-term spacewalks, since the next ISS EVA is not scheduled until this summer.

USATODAY.com - Atlantis glides to a safe landing after resuming space station construction   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-15)
The Atlantis and space station crews hit no major snags as they installed a 17-ton girder on the station, unfurled solar panels on the girder and set in motion a wheel that keeps the panels pointed at the sun.
The crew performed three spacewalks and a half-dozen tasks for the robotic arms on the shuttle and station.
The only problems were minor: a stuck bolt that required 20 minutes of tugging to release during a spacewalk, a software problem and two pieces of hardware that spacewalkers accidentally allowed to drift into space.
