The prime item sought by the state was the personal handprinted book of Royal Gov. Robert Barclay from the period of 1664-88 that provides the minutes of the 41 meetings in London of the Lord Proprietors of East Jersey.
The state acquired the book, which includes documentation of the earliest government in the state, and all the maps that had been separated.
