	Alabama Governor Andrew Moore
		Andrew Barry Moore, sixteenth Governor of Alabama, was born March 7, 1807 in Spartanburg District, SC, to Jane and Charles Moore, a cotton planter and veteran of the American Revolution and the War of 1812.
		Moore advocated the relocation of the state capitol to Montgomery and delivered the last speech in the old Hall of the House of Representatives in Tuscaloosa.
		Moore advocated state aid supplemented by federal land grants to promote railroad construction and he particularly favored efforts of the Alabama and Alabama River Railroad to connect the northern and southern areas of the state.

		Jefferson’s meaning of the separation is controversial and questioned in terms of the use by the Supreme Court, especially considering that Jefferson was known in his presidency to have signed a bill to use federal dollars to build a church and another bill to pay for the salary of a Christian missionary (Wright).
		When Virginia cede her western lands to Congress, Jefferson headed the committee that prepared the first plans for the future government of the territory, creating the Ordinance of 1784, which the later Ordinance of 1787 was formed from.
		This established the principle that new states that are created out of the western territory should be admitted to the Union on the same terms as the original states.
