Steel pipe and tube producers have done their part to take full advantage of the Section 201 tariffs and are working to ensure that the program has a positive effect on the industry.
Currently, welded steel products are subject to a declining tariff remedy that began at 15 percent, and carbon and alloy fittings and flanges are subject to a declining tariff that began at 13 percent.
Certain expectations were placed upon steel producers at the onset of the Section 201 safeguard tariffs, and pipe and tube producers are upholding their end of the bargain.

STEEL manufacturers exporting to China have found that Chinese State-owned banks are going back on their Letter of Credit (LC) commitments.
