 Hectopascals? No! No! Never!
The proper units of atmospheric pressure are kilopascals (kPa), which are, for example, the units which have been used by Environment Canada in its public weather reports for many years (I live close to the border and hear these units used on Canadian radio and television stations).
I haven't tried to list them here (though the links on the U.S. METAR page will lead you to places where you can leave messages for these offices in the U.S. and Canada).
