I'd thought that theory had just become one of those lines you hear repeated over and over (ie, "Saddam moved all the WMDs to Syria!", "They hate our freedom!") that you eventually have to tune out because the spouter in question never has any compelling evidence to back it up.
There are other countries which were, in 2003, more deserving of "liberation" by America -- North Korea is #1 on that list -- but, not having oil, it lacks the fourth reason for attack, and that's one of two reasons why Kim Jong-Il can still threaten the world with actual weapons of mass destruction.
Your favorite thinkers, politicians, radio hosts and ideologues had sold you and your country down the river for their own insatiable greed.
