  Wikipedia: Gun
A gun is an aimable weapon that launches projectiles at high velocity, or a device that resembles such a weapon used for other purposes (e.g., glue gun).
The term is also used for types of artillery with long barrels that fire at a relatively flat trajectory.
Technically speaking, the projectile is the weapon and the gun is the weapon platform, although with the use of bayonets and rifle butts as clubs, the double usage of the word could be forgiven.

Manhattan Project - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Manhattan Project resulted in the development of the first nuclear weapons, and the first-ever nuclear detonation, at the Trinity test of July 16, 1945.
Chief among these developments were the discovery of a nuclear model of the atom, which by 1932 was thought to consist of a small, dense nucleus containing most of the mass of the atom in the form of protons and neutrons, surrounded by a shell of electrons.
Because of the complexity of detonating an implosion-style weapon necessary for the plutonium bomb, it was decided that in spite of the waste of expensive fissile material, a test would be required in order to have any confidence that it would work in practice.

This model is not listed in Reilly, and my gut feeling is that it may be for one of the Rolling blocks by Remington or Whitney, or perhaps the Sharps Borchardt or something, The scabbard may be a great rarity worth a bundle to the advanced collector or nothing exciting at all.
WW2 canvas scabbard with brass throat piece is oil soaked and has several snags and one hole (1/2" dia) but still fully functional.

It’s a beautiful blued weapon, IM thinking 80 percent, with minor holster wear on the mussel and very very few surface pits that are only legible in bright light.
It's also not too uncommon to find a 1911 that was issued in the early days of the war, and never got rebuilt, so it retains all 1911 parts and the pre-1942 blued finish.
Weapons that were given more forward echelon "combat" rebuilds weren't stamped.

The NPT nonetheless framed the chemical and biological weapons proliferation debate: the spread was undesirable.
Chemical weapons are known to have been used since antiquity and novel strategies to exploit the toxic characteristics of some compounds were proposed at different times, especially when defences and fortifications posed a challenge to existing weaponry.

Because the ammunition for this weapon had no hardened core but relied on the high velocity of the bullet, penetration performance dropped significantly at ranges beyond 300m; the lack of a hard core in the projectile (weight: 12.8g) this weapon fires is widely regarded as the foremost drawback of this weapon.
