Xtratime Community - the BG phenomenon- LITEX!!!
Litex were founded in 1921, but for the first 75 years of their existence they puttered about, changing names with the weather — they have been known variously as Hisarya, Todor Kirkov, Torpedo, Kurpachev, Yunak, Osam and Lex — and winning nothing.
Lovech, though, were still in the Cup, and, with Spasov in charge once again, they clinched that in glorious fashion, beating CSKA and Levski on their way to the final, where they beat Velbazhd — who were coached by Dimitrov.
Litex are a club who prove that loyalty and the belief in a dream still have a place in football; Penev may just be about to prove that luck does too.

Moreover, in the 62nd minute, the Litex forward Novakovic scored, but the goal was cancelled due to off-side; Sandrinho shot amidst the turmoil in the penalty, and the Slovenian forward simply tipped the ball in the net just one meter away from the goal-line but the referees overruled the goal.
Thus, Litex entered the golden pages of Bulgarian Football History of the UEFA challenges for the second time, after Litex defeated Union in Germany by 2:0 on the road five years ago and became the first Bulgarian team ever to win against German team in Germany.
Litex’s success would have been more impressive, if it were not for the missed goal opportunities by the Hazurov cousins, Zlatinov and Popov.
