	Ross Township- Township History
		This purchase was confirmed with the Indians of Ohio at the Treaty of Fort McIntosh (Beaver, PA) on January 2, 1785.
		A little later, they resolved to issue to the soldiers certificates to compensate them for depreciation in the currency with which they were paid.

		It is not known when Reger first settled in the Beaver Springs area, but it was most likely between 1787 and 1789.
		By the late 1800's the area reached economic and political maturity with the formation of Spring Township in 1885.
