  The Sarvonian Gull (Vévan'már, "Sky Thief")
The Marayanthian Gull is found around and to the south of the Marayan and the Yanthian Gulfs, in Southern Sarvonia.
They are noted scavengers and the Little Gull is often seen at Klinsor, helping the kaimuni to devour leftover scraps of whale flesh and blubber.
Gulls are also good at fishing and will sit quietly on the water's surface, waiting for a fish to swim near.

Little Gull Island is situated about seven miles northeast of Orient Point, at the eastern end of Long Island’s North Fork, where Long Island Sound opens out to the sea.
Little Gull Island went through a number of owners until the U.S. government bought it from Benjamin Jerome for $800 in 1803 for lighthouse purposes.
Little Gull Island was almost wiped clean; the lantern was ruined, all the windows were broken, the well was ruined, and outbuildings were demolished.

The North American population is believed to breed from the Great Lakes northwest to the Yukon and to winter on the Atlantic Coast from eastern Maine to Florida, the Gulf Coast of Louisiana and Texas, and the U.S. Pacific Coast.
Demographics are poorly documented, but the population seems to be increasing steadily in North America, and the little gull may be expanding its range from its center of abundance in northern Europe, Siberia, through North Africa.
Because of the limited level of use by little gulls, and poor specificity of habitat, these areas were scored 0.5 (on a 0 to 1.0 scale) for foraging, or 0.4 for roosting.

Little Gulls are not a surprising sight at Presque Isle State Park in late March and early April.
Little Gulls are usually seen at a distance over Presque Isle Bay, or perhaps passing Sunset Point, and only very rarely are they seen better than that.

It is a small gull taken in Ft. Pierce Harbor, FL on Jan. 14, 1979 by Alan Wormington.
I was one of the discoverers of the bird and it was certainly a Little Gull, of which I have seen hundreds.
Whether the published photo is a truly misleading image of the Little Gull in Florida, or a mislabelled photo of a Ross's from elsewhere taken at another time, possibly even by someone else, is an issue only Alan can address.

Even though the Little Gull Light Station is no longer manned, and has been fully automated by the Coast Guard, it is still fulfilling its mission of saving lives.

The bird showed several characteristics of a typical adult Little Gull, most notably the clean light gray mantle without any trace of fl in the wing tipsl, and dark smudges around the eye and on the auriculars, a dark cap and lighter charcoal gray wash to the nape and sides of the neck.
The underwings were mostly dark, almost fl, with the exception of the wing linings, which seemed to be much paler in comparison to the rest of the underwing and the trailing edge of the flight feathers which were broadly bordered with white.
Adult Little Gulls typically have very dark wing linings, and according to Grant, second winter birds do not always exhibit reduced fl markings in the wing tips.
