  Don Markstein's Toonopedia: Little Lulu
Little Lulu was created by Marjorie Henderson Buell ("Marge"), who used her in a series of single-panel cartoons.
It took Lulu almost a decade to transcend that venue, but when she did, she did it all over the place — by the mid-1940s, she was a star of comic books and animated cartoons, as well as the spokestoon for Kleenex.
Lulu provided a few more animated laughs on November 4, 1978, when ABC used her in one of its Weekend Specials, with Lauri Hendler (later heard in Ferngully) providing her voice.

Little Lulu still frolics with pals at age 70 | The San Diego Union-Tribune
For a little girl with solid-fl lozenges for eyes, just the suggestion of a nose, a few corkscrew curls and rubbery, kneeless legs, Little Lulu has had a remarkably long life in many mediums, including comic strips and books, animated cartoons and advertisements.
Lulu made her first comic book appearance in Dell's four-color issue No. 74 in 1945, which was followed by 10 more.
By the mid-1940s, Little Lulu had become the spokesperson for Kleenex, which she continued to be for 16 years, while also appearing in ads for other products.

Jon Merrill's "Those Elusive Four Colors!" - Little Lulu
Lulu and Tubby are likewise the only recognizable children in FC 74's second story, "At the Beach." Note the facial characteristics shown often in the early Lulu comic art: extra rosy cheeks and often with no mouths at all.
Lulu exerts her contempt for sexual stereotyping on the part of Tubby after she makes the suggestion that she might be able to help him build his airplane.
Lulu solves the problem just fine, however; she merely buries Tubby in the sand and goes off with her new "hunk." Stay tuned for lots of other stories later on in Little Lulu comics involving Tubby's jealousy, once Gloria and Wilbur join the cast.

Little Lulu-- The Comic Strip and Comic Book
Little Lulu's success as an animated cartoon character, as well as her becoming the advertising spokes-girl for Kleenix tissues, had the unexpected result of her being dropped from the Post page.
Although Stanley's Little Lulu was never preachy, there was a gentle underlying theme of morality running through his stories, with the importance of friendship and kindness winning out over selfish wealth and snobbery.
The Stanley run on Little Lulu lasted for 14 years and 267 issues, and most comics historians would agree that their work was a classic in the area of children's comics.

Little Audrey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
She is considered a variation of the better-known Little Lulu, devised after Paramount failed to renew the licence on Marjorie Henderson Buell's comic strip character.
Little Audrey was never as successful as Famous' best known creation, Casper the Friendly Ghost, but the character is known to have had considerable success in printed form.
By 1960, Little Audrey was the best known of Harvey's female characters due to her multi-media presence (comic books, television/theatrical animation and - briefly - newspaper strips), although her popularity was later eclipsed by the company's other pinch-hitters, Little Dot, Wendy the Good Little Witch and Little Lotta.

Lulu had more personality in the latter versions and the characters were more developed and likable.
So until the original cartoons are restored to their original glory, I'm sticking to the mid-ninties version of "Little Lulu" even though the plots are pretty much from the 1930's-1960's.

 Lulu Titlescorer
The Lulu Titlescorer has been developed exclusively for Lulu by statisticians who studied the titles of 50 years' worth of top bestsellers and identified which title attributes separated the bestsellers from the rest.
The Lulu Titlescorer is a useful tool, which, in Lulu's 50-year study of some 700 novels, proved 40% better than random guess-work in guessing whether a particular title had produced a bestseller or not.
This is because, for all the work that went it, the Lulu Titlescorer is capable of giving high scores to titles that most of us would rate as weird, if not terrible.
