[FAQ] Status Quo (Rock Band) Information
The recording of this concert was released as the album 'Live Alive Quo'.
Quo were recording the album that was to become '1+9+8+2,' the title implying both the year it was released and that it was the band's 20th anniversary.
Due to disagreements within the band, they decided in 1984 that their next tour would be their last one, and titled it, 'End of the Road.' Although they said that they would continue to record, it became the end of the road for Quo in their then current form.

 Roger Taylor Rarities
Taylor's next album was "Strange Frontier" in June 1984, which included covers of Bruce Springsteen's "Racing In The Streets" and Bob Dylan's "Masters Of War", along with writing collaborations with Freddie Mercury on "Killing Time" and Status Quo's Rick Parfitt on "It's An Illusion".
He had already recorded the majority of a new album earlier in the year, and now needed a group to perform the songs live.
While the album made No. 30, "Man On Fire", unfortunately stalled at No. 66, while the follow-up single, the rockly title track off the LP, didn't even register at all, which was probably due to the huge public profile that Queen were enjoying that year thanks to the massive success of "The Works".

Vardis MP3 Downloads - Vardis Music Downloads - Vardis Music Videos
Initially going by the handle of Quo Vardis (an obvious homage to the influential Status Quo), the band was led by singer/guitarist Steve Zodiac, whose larger-than-life Johnny Winter-meets-Ted Nugent persona shared the stage with bassist Alan Selway and drummer Gary Pearson.
A second album (this one created in an actual studio) was quickly put out in April 1981, and featured an amped-up cover of Hawkwind's classic "Silver Machine." Selway quit after 1982's Quo Vardis, just as the band became embroiled in a lengthy dispute with their former management.
This, in turn, led to a deal with the independent Logo label, which issued Vardis' debut album (recorded live), also entitled 100 M.P.H., in October 1980.

Fatboy Slim: Palookaville - PopMatters Music Review
Fatboy Slim is not an artist who even his most ardent admirers usually associate with gripping, emotional songwriting, and the placement of such an unabashedly fun track at the end of the album serves to restore the status quo in Cook's hedonistic world.
The last Fatboy Slim album saw Cook very tentatively dipping his toes into the world of live vocals, with appearances by the aforementioned Gray as well as "Weapon of Choice"'s Bootsy Collins.
Of course, anyone who dismissed Fatboy Slim as a novelty act was wholly unprepared for Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars, and that could definitely go a long way towards explaining just why the album was greeted with such a chilly reception.

Taking their name from a play by James Baldwin, Amen Corner formed in Cardiff (Wales) in 1966 and quickly gained a reputation as a strong live RandB band (with the twin saxes providing a fatter, more American sound than most British beat groups of the time).
In November the band undertook a package tour with Jimi Hendrix, The Move, Pink Floyd and The Nice.
