		The band released two live recordings in 2001, "Live Frogs Set 1" and "Live Frogs Set 2".
		"Set 2" is a live cover of the entire Pink Floyd album, "Animals".
		This band had much the same genesis as the Frog Brigade; Formed to play at the Bonnaroo Festival of that year, it has since gone on the road, and recordings have become subsequent live albums.

		Live Frogs - Set Two is the latest release from Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, the recent solo project that the Primus frontman has been working on for the last year or so.
		This time, as promised at the end of Set One (released back in April), the band serves up "more Pink Floyd than any human being should ever withstand." What the crowd didn't know was that they were about to witness the band's classic 1977 album, Animals, performed in its entirety.
		The Frogs improvise a bit here and there, but in general, the performance is faithful to the original album (as opposed to the extended versions Pink Floyd played in concert), with just a bit of Les' trademark quirkiness thrown in.

	The insanely weird yet talented antics of the Frog Brigade
		Live Frogs Set 1 was recorded live in last October at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
		The 70-minute set consists entirely of cover songs: three by Sausage, two by Les Claypool and the Holy Mackerel, King Crimson's "Thela Gun Ginjeet" and Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"easily the most accessible song on the album.
		Live Frog Set 1 is an amazing display of musical interplay between very good musicians performing off-the-wall music.

		The outro, "Pigs on the Wing part 2" ushers the end of a magical evening for the folks lucky enough to be in the house that night.

		The biggest difference between this album and the original (beside this one's being live) is probably Claypool's roaring bass lines, which cut through the mix with much more power than the original.

		Live Frogs, Set 1 is a tremendous jam album, giving equal amounts of time to every musician to screw around and just play whatever the hell they want for a few minutes.
		The live version for Running The Guantlet is also superior to the studio version (anyone seeing a trend here?), featuring a lot of cool soloing from everyone, and fantastic drum work which will probably go unnoticed by the majority.
		But Live Frogs Set 1 still has the best selection of the Frog Brigade's music on it, and is a good place for newcomers to start.

		Les and the Frog Brigade take on covering one of rock's greatest recorded performances the way a great orchestra would prepare for Mahler’s Eighth.
		Les and the Frog Brigade crank it out, driving the entire performance, but really go off for the fourth track, "Dogs." The intensity of the performance, with its fantastic bass line, is awesome.

		This Frog Brigade album, “Live Frogs Set 2,” is actually a live recording of them performing Pink Floyd’s “Animals.” It’s very intersting.
		Apparently, “Animals” was the first Pink Floyd album that Les ever heard, and he was totally moved by it, and has always wanted to perform it, but never had the right instrumentation.
