Building on Live Bookmarks, it would be great to be able to store your bookmarks on a server, but be able to interact with them through the normal bookmarks manager.
A laptop user bookmarks a page "within 250 feet of this location." in the future, whenever she is in that physical region, the bookmark moves to the top of her bookmarks list.
Another reason for visual bookmarks is when people are use to a website for it's design and have stopped visiting it regularly for a while, and when they are fumbling through their bookmarks looking for it again it may have changed it's design.

Live notification is not possible due to the way Live Bookmarks are currently implemented, and it is not planned to be added, at least not by 1.0.
The whole idea of the Live Bookmarks is great and makes RSS available to a lot more people but if it implemented in this way it won't be used as often as it could be.
It would be perfect if LIve Bookmark will change the folder colour when it sees there is sth new, but download the feed only if you actually click on the folder.

I noticed that sometimes, the live bookmarks did not refresh themselves and I had to refresh them one by one.
It would be fine to be able to refresh all the live bookmark with just one clic on a button.

Subscribing to a feed without auto-discovery isn't very easy, as the "New Live Bookmark" button is missing from the bookmark manager's toolbar (look in the File menu there instead).
Update: Here's a killer app for this feature: if you use blogmarks/b-links/del.icio.us instead of bookmarks, subscribing to the accompanying RSS feed as a live bookmark will give you access to your most recently added items within the browser UI.

However, I share bookmarks between Firefox and Mozilla (browser.bookmarks.file preference) so when I add or remove bookmarks in Mozilla, it changes the bookmarks file which kills the Live bookmark for Firefox.
I just changed my Firefox user.js file to move the bookmarks to a different location from Mozilla to see if it's more important to use Live Bookmarks or to share bookmarks.
When the added bookmark is pressed, the tree with themes is expaned (it autoupdates itself of course).

While tools such as Furl and del.icio.us are interesting, the one thing that has held me back from using these with my students is the whole aspect of requiring them to register with a third party.
Another interesting aspect of this is using a tool such as Scuttle with the Live Bookmarks feature of Firefox.
Students could tag the resources they find with a predetermined tag, and then the RSS feed for that particular tag could be baked into a live bookmark on the Firefox toolbar.

meh - i have all my live bookmarks on my toolbar - it will be nice if i can press a button to just go to the main site...
I think it would also be nice if I could preview the RSS feed before bookmarking it.
