The lineup is notable for including Keith Jarrett on keyboards (electric piano, no less!) and John McLaughlin sitting in. The live material sounds to me more like an extension (and abstraction) of Jack Johnson than a development of what his electric band was doing circa Bitches Brew, and since I've always preferred Jack Johnson anyway, I consider this to be a positive.
