Better Living Through Chemistry - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The phrase "Better Living Through Chemistry" is a variant of a DuPont advertising slogan, "Better Things for Better Living...Through Chemistry." DuPont adopted it in 1939 and was their slogan until the 1980s when the "Through Chemistry" bit was dropped; in 1999 it was replaced by "The miracles of science".
Better Living Through Chemistry is the name of the recreational drug related forum on textfile and BBS website totse.com.

CSULB Online 49er: v8n96: The Living End marks new beginning
After delving into serious, intricate, multi-layered arrangements for the album's middle tracks, The Living End closes things out with the rousing "Uncle Harry." Very much a throwback to the band's first album, the frantic Green Day-esque shout-along is reminiscent of the Clash minus the political awareness.
If there was any justice left in the music industry, The Living End would be the punk band selling four million plus albums not that boy band with distorted guitars, Blink-182.
The only truly disposable track on the album is "Astoria Paranoia," which fails to match the introspection of the rest of the album's tracks and the fervor of the band's earlier material.

Skinny Daily Post: Better Living Through Chemistry
Eventually the depression I had got to the point where I needed better living through chemistry, but now with a combination of both, it’s a whole new world.
One of the things that put me over the edge was a promising potential job offer that fell through right after I had returned home from the funeral back East.
In fact, when I was at my highest weight, I was already ‘treating’ my depression, however inartfully, through the consumption of large quantities of fat and refined sugar.

 Amazon.com: The Cure [ENHANCED]: Music
Here's why; the album is fun to listen to and although the word cohesive means a lot of things to different people, let's use it as this - cohesion means having a core theme or elements to the music.
I'm saying right now, this is one of the better albums the Cure has done in a long time and fits well as the successor album to Disintegration in terms of musical progression and coming to terms with who the Cure are.
If I were to compare this album with any previous Cure album it would be 1985's The Head On The Door, which is one of my favorites.

If I was rating this album in comparision to "All Things", I would probably only give it one and 1/2 or 2 stars.
After the break up of the Beatles, George Harrison wasted little time in releasing his classic double album "All Things Must Pass".
Phil Spector only co-produced one track on "Living", but you can hear his influence on almost every track...

George Harrison - Dark Horse: Music-Hills.com
Having begun his solo career with a bang ("All Things Must Pass") and putting out a pretty good followup album ("Living In the Material World"), George eventually ran out of gas and spent most of the seventies putting out a series of inconsitent and fairly boring releases.
Although it did not reach the #1 in the US, like his two previous albums ("All Thing Must Pass"; and "Living in the Material World"), it climbed as high as #4.
The others are a yawn, with the possible exception of the depressing "So Sad." In short, George only had four decent songs here, which might have been better released as two singles instead of a whole album.

 Living Colour
To my ears, Living Colour is one of the best things to happen to rock music since the early 70s.
Anyway, Living Colour happened when avant-garde guitar virtuoso Vernon Reid decided to make some popular music, and while he was at it, to break down the color barrier that had reasserted itself in rock and roll shortly after the death of Jimi Hendrix.

Hank Snow MP3 Downloads - Hank Snow Music Downloads - Hank Snow Music Videos
But it was in the year that Snow began recording albums again that things really got interesting for a number of reasons: first, his -- and Chet Atkins' -- choice in material for the period, and second, the variety of settings Snow found himself working in.
Ultimately, the '60s proved to be fertile for Snow, more fertile than he could have imagined at the time, partially because he was frighteningly engaged in living it, and partially because he didn't experience the same chart success he had in the '50s, though it was by no means a failed run commercially.
This is the third collection of Hank Snow's recordings issued by Bear Family, and covers a period not generally considered to encompass his biggest hit-making years (1958-1969, with some tracks from 1974 added for perverse measure).

Jesusfreakhideout.com: Living Sacrifice, "Conceived in Fire" Review
This album's main focus is on the problems that we face in daily life- war, suicide, failure, temptation, and other things that get in the way of our relationship with Christ- and how God helps us get through them.
Despite this, the music can get repetitive, as Living Sacrifice repeats certain rhythms multiple times throughout the album.
Living Sacrifice's hardcore style is balanced out by "Into Again," a calm instrumental song with clean, moving guitars.

View topic - SOULFLY - PROPHECY
The title track kicks things off with a 3-minute plus thrasher which harks back to the days of 'Roots', and as you listen it's this impression that will immediately hit you - that 'Prophecy' could be the natural follow-on to that ground-breaking album.
The rest of the album is a mixed affair, with some really interesting tracks such as the metal-meets-ragga "Moses," the obligatory Chaos AD "Biotech" rip-off "Born Again Anarchist", a really boring Helmet "Meantime" cover and a really cheesy pseudo-flamenco "look-ma-we-can-play-our-instruments" track that would have real flamenco musicians laugh in amusement.
'Prophecy' is definitely one of the musical highlights of 2004, and without doubt an album that you'll come back to again and again.

Her last episode was so long ago, album #27 to be precise, that it seems a little strange at first to hear from her as if Connie has been living with her all along.
Connie's insistence on receiving some of the credit for the show wasn't out of character, and for most people would be a normal desire, so some of the immature things she does as a result are understandable.

 Living Colour Album Reviews
Vivid (Epic ’88) Rating: B+ Sadly, this band’s primary claim to fame was that they were a commercially successful (at least initially) African American hard rock band, which almost obscured the fact that they were damn good and that they always did things their way.
This made their eventual commercial decline inevitable, but that was a few years later, as Vivid briefly made Living Colour one of the hippest bands around.
Time’s Up (Epic ’90) Rating: B+ Once again Living Colour delivers a strong set of riff driven hard rock with expressive, angry lyrics seeking to raise consciousness about the African American experience.

The new album sees To Rococo Rot at their most accessible, weaving intricate melodies amongst intimate sounds, whilst maintaining the trademark warmth and elegance that has always lain deep at the heart of their sound.

I was lucky enough to discuss things with Bruce of Living Sacrifice recently, and to get the straight poop on one of the most intriguing and "brutal" metal bands of recent years.
My favorite Living Sacrifice album is The Hammering Process; it's nearly the perfect metal album, like Master Of Puppets good, seriously.
Living Sacrifice are just as evil and violent as Venom, early Metallica, Black Sabbath, Slayer, and any other metal lords who rock in the name of the evil one; that's what makes Living Sacrifice all the more interesting: Living Sacrifice is a Christian band.
