Liz Armstrong>> I think they're saying that because this is a very private collection that hasn't been shown before and it's also one of the very best collections of modern American art and we're showing it for the first time at the Orange County Museum.
Liz Armstrong>> Yeah, and the burlesque was a very attractive subject to artists during this period as well as in literature because you sort of have this revolt in progress against Victorian prudery still, so there's that angle.
Liz Armstrong>> I have to say, the first time I went to see this collection, I walked in and over Myron Kunin's secretary's desk was this painting and I knew I was onto something completely fresh and original.

Craig Armstrong has written the soundtrack for the UK movie Plunkett and McCleane.
The highly anticipated sequel to the '96 blockbuster, sees Cruella De Ville (Glenn Close who else!) being released from prison on good behaviour, and (of course) she plots another "fur-ocious" scheme to get the ultimate dalmation coat, all set in Paris, France.
Armstrong calls in Cocteau Twin Liz Fraser to add fragile vocals to "This Love" and Blue Nile lyricist Paul Buchanan to croon in "Let's Go Out Tonight." The set is similar in feel to the late, great Talk Talk's albums, and, appropriately, released on Massive Attack's Melankolic label."

Comment from Ceslie Armstrong: You have to look at the fact that New York is the media and fashion capitol of the world, and even though 7 out of 12 women in America are size 12 and up, that's not necessarily clear to many designers who live in a fashionista world with blinders on.

Misty Martinez - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Misty Martinez may not be the only sex-noise provocateur, but she's certainly one of the most famous.
The alter-ego of Rollerderby and Lumpen contributor Liz Armstrong, Martinez delivers strongly aggressive dadaist-type performances that lie somewhere between Crash Worship and a burlesque show.
Influenced by the noise music theater antics of Costes and Lisa Crystal Carver's Suckdog, she alternately engages and attacks her audience - verbally, physically and sexually - while acting out an unpredictable, schizophrenic mix of little girl, stripper and impromptu antics.

This April at American University's Washington College of Law, Armstrong was honored by the Marshall-Brennan Fellowship Program with the first Mary Beth Tinker Award, for the Person Who Most Courageously Defends the Rights of Students.
