		The telephone conversation ended with Lloyd saying, "Okay, I’ll be right over." He turned to the customers and said, "Boys, I’ll be back in 15-20 minutes." He went out the back door, leaving the place open, money in the cash register and the customers still visiting.
		Lloyd was gone almost an hour, rather than the 20 minutes he had promised his customers.

		Barber recalled that the original master plan for the campus envisioned various buildings joined by enclosed walkways, surrounding an interior courtyard, or academic green, which would form the centre of the University.
		Barber, who met The Princess Royal during her previous visit to Saskatchewan 22 years ago, took the opportunity to be the first person to welcome her as an alumnus of the U of R and the two unveiled a plaque marking the official naming of the Dr. Lloyd Barber Academic Green.
		Following the ceremonies, Berny Wiens, chair of the university's Board of Governors, credited Barber with foresight in recognizing the growing importance of aboriginal education, and for his role in forging the partnership between the U of R and what is now the First Nations University of Canada.
