In this detailed account of the Martin House commission, Quinan mines the Wright-Martin correspondence, along with the physical artifacts and architectural remains of the house, which is currently under restoration, to investigate Wright's often-made claim that his buildings "portray" their clients.
By the end of the book Quinan has documented what might be considered as failures of the house - from typical cost overruns, delays, to more serious client dissatisfaction and eventual abandonment of the house - but these are treated as merely historical accident.

On 10 June Helensburgh District Court rejected a submission from MSP Lloyd Quinan that it should refer to the Scottish High Court the question of whether his human rights had been breached by being prosecuted for breach of the peace at two blockades of Faslane.
Lloyd was arrested at the mass blockades of the nuclear weapons base in February and October last year.

Renegade nationalist MSP Lloyd Quinan is preparing to court the biggest controversy of his life by putting himself forward as a prospective candidate for the elections to the Basque parliament in spring.
Quinan is responding to the Basque organisation Udalbiltza, a confederation of local politicians established to promote Basque independence, which is canvassing known sympathisers to find volunteers willing to stand as proxy candidates for members of the proscribed Basque pro-independence party HB.
Quinan said Israeli soldiers fired shots over his head and struck a colleague with a stun grenade, then ripped up the Saltire he was carrying.

MSP Lloyd Quinan, who has been found guilty of a breach of the peace at the blockade of Faslane naval base in February 2001, will not pay the £100 fine and will be willing to risk arrest at the really Big Blockade of the base on 22nd April.
Indeed one officer said that the arrest had been the "most co-operative he had ever made." and the other said that the MSP was "a very nice gentleman." In spite of this Justice of the Peace John Macphail decided that a breach of the peace had taken place.
Six MSPs (Lloyd Quinan, Robin Harper, John McAllion, Tommy Sheridan, Fiona McLeod and Linda Fabiani) have already indicated that they will be at Faslane on 22nd April, just one week before the elections to the Scottish Parliament.

He is Lloyd Quinan who is well known as the weather presenter from Scotland Today and as anchorman for STV's Trial By Night.
