		A loading screen is a picture shown by a computer program, often a video game, while the program is loading or initializing.
		Loading screens that disguise the length of time that a program takes to load were common when computer games were loaded from audio tape, a process which could take anywhere up to 20 minutes.
		Nowadays, most games are loaded from optical disc which is very fast, but games still include loading screens to disguise the amount of time taken to initialize the game in RAM.

		Well to start the loading screens are fairly darn long (1 min on a powerful computer), very boring and washed up.
		The loading screens in the game do absolutely nothing.
		I hate when games make you wait before they start up, you have to see all the screens for the developer and such.

		Assuming it was graphics related, I installed latest NVIDIA drivers (66.94) and now when I load, its the same resolution, but starts to load fl screen and stops about 1/8th of the way down and freezes the system.
		now wen i go to load hl2 it goes to the fuzzy screen then goes weird on me and i have to restart the comp....
		I see lines at the top of the blurry screen when it freezes up and does not load.

		I have a frames web site and I was hoping to create a homepage (index.html) that will have a flash loading screen which will preload the frameset and frame pages (index2.html) and when done loading say "Loading complete, please enter" or something like that.
		You just see a square with the text "loading" and when the page is loaded it automatically loads the site.
		I guess it's possible to put a flash movie in the script, instead of the text "loading", but I have no idea how to let the flash movie show how many % of the page is loaded...

		This is the fault of BTV, it just takes a long time to load, not really any way around it.
		The BTV 3.5 beta has been released, which is supposed to help with shorter load times, but I have not yet tried it with myhtpc.
		my best guess is that 3.5 will load in under 5 seconds, with a really cool loading screen you won't want to change.
