Borg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Borg's interlink and use of nanotechnology are also similar to that of the Conjoiners from Alastair Reynolds's Revelation Space series of novels, while their ability to adapt to any attack resembles a faster version of the Inhibitors' ability in the same series.

Jean-Luc Picard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Designated "Locutus of Borg" (Latin for "he who has spoken"), he was used as a representative for the Borg in its attempt to force Earth's unconditional surrender and as a prelude to assimilating it and the entire Federation.
This led to the overwhelming Borg victory in the Battle of Wolf 359 where a flotilla of thirty-nine Starfleet starships assembled to halt the Borg advance.

Locutus of Borg was the Borg designation forced upon Captain Jean-Luc Picard after his assimilation in late 2366.

Unicomplex Computer Core: Borg Battle Directive
Even with its WEAPONS and SHIELDS of 24, a Borg Cube is not quite the one-ship armada that a Vor'cha under the influence of Kurlan Naiskos is. The Borg are constrained by very particular battle rules that are not immediately obvious, and may perhaps be counter-intuitive, to some players attracted to the Borg.
In general, the Borg may not take any actions that they are not directed or permitted to take by their current objective.
If your opponent has a Borg Cube nearby, don't kill that drone that used to be a key personnel before the Borg Servo assimilated her or him.

Borg Nanoprobes are injected into the bloodstream by tubules that spring forth from the hand of a Borg drone.
This places Borg far too close to have overlooked Earth, and given their totalitarian expansion philosophy it seems unlikely they would have (although they may still have decided not to, since at least one species (Kazon) has been derided as "unworthy of assimilation" by the Borg).

The Borg, a massive organization of cybernetic organisms assimilated from other species, is one of the most fearsome and unrelenting forces in the Milky Way galaxy, having spread their influence into all four quadrants and beyond, even into transdimensional realms.
But equally mysterious are why and how they started their imperialistic mission of assimilation and their quest for "perfection." The Borg operate under a collective consciousness, whereby the thoughts of each drone are interconnected with all others in what is referred to as the "Hive Mind," eliminating any sense of individuality.

Bio: Locutus (Latin for 'He who speaks') was the Borg leader created by the assimilation of Jean-Luc Picard into the Borg consciousness in 2366.

Starship Modeler - Star Trek's Locutus of Borg
Locutus, from the Latin loqui ("to speak"), was the Borg mouthpiece derived from the captured Captain Picard.
This character was in the two most poular episodes in Trek history, which were the first Trek cliffhanger and spurred some of the biggest speculative debate in between seasons as to how the gallant crew would recover their beloved Captain and what beheld the fate of the Federation.
I had to give Locutus a sort of "walking dead" look, as the character on TV had the pigment in his skin removed.

In fact, it was not until after his abduction during the Borg crisis that Picard ventured home, the first time in 20 years, and began to heal the rift with his brother Robert, who had been jealous of his high-achieving younger brother whom he viewed as getting away with spurning family traditions and responsibilities.
That continuity proves fortuitous: less than a year later, Picard was ordered away from repelling a second Borg attack for fear of giving unwitting aid to the enemy, but after reconsidering he led a deflection of the main assault.
It has taken this second Borg experience to remind him of the existence of a "Borg Queen" who pursued him then, and his reaction to the bureaucratic Starfleet reaction on his involvement is an issue I am positive will be resolved by the caption's unusually strong self-ego.
