The living of Loddon is a vicarage, of the clear yearly value of £300 ; that of Chedgrave is a rectory, of the clear yearly value of £182.

 Loddon
The centre is dominated by the church of the Holy Trinity, built at the end of the 15th century, with Church Plain at its front which provides a focal point for the town.
Loddon is one of the few remaining towns in Norfolk not to have been taken over by big chain stores – and is proud of it.
Loddon, which has been designated a conservation area, is the only town of any size in South Norfolk with direct access to the Broads and is a major centre for tourism with a number of boatyards based on the River Chet providing hire craft for holiday makers.

I understand that the town's Catholics, who do not have their own building in Loddon but are part of the parish of Poringland, also share in the worship of the community on occasions.

Loddon is situated north west of Beccles on the A146 Norwich Road.
March 1940.  Aged 28.  Son of Katherine Eliza Bringloe, of Loddon.  Corporal Bringloe was killed by a grenade when training in Norwich.  He was brought  to Loddon by the first motor hearse his friend had ever seen.  Buried:  Loddon (Holy Trinity) Churchyard.
Died at Stubbs Green.  Commemorated in the Civilian Roll of Honour of the Rural District of Loddon.  Buried in Loddon churchyard.

When John Wesley, an Anglican priest, and the founder of Methodism, made the first of his 18 visits to Loddon, in 1772, he noted in his Journal that: 'The preaching-house, at one, was thoroughly filled with serious and attentive hearers.
Both churches continued to hold their usual Sunday services for a further thirteen years, and it was not until 1946 that united services were held, in the morning in one church, and the evening in the other.
On the 1st September 1976, Bungay, Rumburgh and St Andrews Methodist churches united with the URC in Bungay; Loddon, Norton and Burgh St Peter formed part of an ecumenical experiment with the Anglican Raveningham Group and Loddon parish; with Woodtson, Kirby Cane and Broome remaining as Methodist churches.

May readily self-seed in optimum growing conditions, but cultivars of A. azurea generally do not come true from seed and should be propagated by root cuttings.
'Loddon Royalist' is an Anchusa cultivar which typically grows to 3' tall.
It is a coarse, clump-forming perennial which features deep gentian blue forget-me-not-like flowers (to 3/4" across) in terminal spikes (scorpioid cymes) rising above the foliage in late spring to early summer.
