 Climbing in the Magic Islands

There are a couple of earlier threads on Lofoten in the archives, including some comments about the best time of year for the bird colonies.
I would have thought that August was too late for the best bird opportunities (for example, the puffins will probably have headed back out to sea by then) but there are kittiwake and gull roosts you can photograph all year round, and sea eagles are easy to find too.
Lofoten is also more accessible for Europeans driving their own cars not having to take the weekly ferry to Iceland.
