Loftus Road is a football stadium in London, W12.
The four stands are called the Loftus Road End (often shortened to The Loft), Ellerslie Road Stand, South Africa Road Stand (often called Little South Africa) and the School End, which is for away supporters.
During the summer of 1981 an artificial pitch was installed at Loftus Road, the first such surface to be used in British professional football.

The main South Africa Road stand is the oldest part of the ground, a large two tiered structure with a row of executive boxes, the dugouts, changing rooms and club offices, stretching down one of the touchlines.
You could try the back streets between the Uxbridge and Goldhawk Roads but beware of the residents schemes and be aware that a lot of these roads have been made one way and fenced off in the middle to stop people using them as rat runs during the weekly rush hour.

As might be imagined, a lot of people have mailed us with comments on the issue of moving away from Loftus Road, the strengths and weaknesses of the respective Andrew Ellis and Maurice FitzGerald bids, and the advisability of conducting a straw poll on which of the two bids QPR 1st members prefer.
A final word of warning - whilst I, like many fans, see Loftus Road as an important part of supporting QPR and would love to see us stay there forever, there can be no place for emotion to be the guiding principle of safeguarding the future of our club.
I am a shareholder in Loftus Road Plc and although that investment was my worse ever - I would be prepared to put a sum of money into the club (if it was to be owned by the supporters).
