Logan County is a county located in the state of Ohio.
In the county, the population is spread out with 26.70% under the age of 18, 8.20% from 18 to 24, 27.90% from 25 to 44, 23.30% from 45 to 64, and 13.90% who are 65 years of age or older.
Elections are administered in each county by a four-member board of elections which consists of two Republicans and two Democrats appointed by the Ohio Secretary of State at the recommendation of each county party.

GEORGE H., Clerk of Courts, Logan Co.; Bellefontaine; was born in Pickaway Co., O., Sept. 6, 1846, and is the son of Harvey and Mary (Shawhan) Allen; his mother was born in Virginia; his father is a native of this State; he engaged in mercantile pursuits.
In 1834 he was elected Prosecuting Attorney of Logan Co. In 1838 he was elected representative to the Ohio Legislature, and was re-elected in 1839; in 1851 he was again elected to the Ohio Legislature under the new Constitution, and served for two years.
County Sheriff; Bellefontaine: was born in Union Tp., Logan Co., O., March 27, 1846, and is the son of D. and Sarah (Hoover) McCracken; both parents are natives of Pennsylvania, having moved to Ohio and located in Logan Co. in an early day.

At its formation from Lincoln County on September 1, 1792, it ran from the Little Barren River on the east to the Mississippi River on the west and from the Ohio and Green rivers on the north to Tennessee on the south.
For many years, Logan County was mainly agricultural, but industrial development accelerated in the 1950s, and by 1970 manufacturing had replaced agriculture as the dominant source of income.
