		One Saturday afternoon I was in the process of removing wallpaper from my kitchen walls, with water and old paste running down my arms as I stood at the top of a ladder, when the telephone rang.
		With tears of great joy I only wished I’d started searching for them sooner, so my father could have been a part of the great joy I was experiencing in finding his family, finally knowing his Slovenian origin and knowing I’d found mine as well.

		I found a lot of information about Logatec, Slovenia, and also the telephone directory on the internet, I wrote e-mails to all Petek families, as well as "snail mail" letters, which finally came to my receiving a telephone from the Janez Petek family.
		I was amazed at all the beautiful flowers a type of hanging germanium plats that were found on almost all the homes.
		Shortly before our day to leave Logatec, the Petek Families gave us a wonderful "Welcome To Logatec, Slovenia Party" for us at what was my Grandmother Mary (Petek) Sickich's homestead.
