| | Nee Naw - Blog of a Dispatcher in the London Ambulance Service's Control Room (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-28) |
 | | As Nee Naw Control is a large building with the word “AMBULANCE” on it a lot and a lot of ambulances parked outside (mainly by virtue of the fact Waterloo Ambulance Station is situated around the back), occasionally we get the odd person attempting to wander in for some emergency treatment. |
 | | The ambulances (two of them, and a FRU for good measure) were on scene within five minutes (which is, incidentally, two minutes longer than a non-breathing person can survive without CPR), and then we heard nothing, until I got the blue call on the radio. |
 | | Apparently a woman dialled 999 in desperation because her Polish mother was dialling the Polish equivalent of 999 and was being refused an ambulance. |
