Projects lawyers at Pinsent Masons have advised the London Borough of Islington on the largest housing PFI project closed to date.  The project, which reached financial close on Friday 15 September 2006, is also the first of the second wave housing projects to close.
The project involves the refurbishment of, and ongoing service provision to, over 4,000 leasehold and tenanted properties in Islington for a 16 year period.  This is the ninth major housing PFI to close, of which  Pinsent Masons has been involved in seven through either its London, Leeds or Birmingham teams.
