The crest of Sutton United FC is thought to date back to the Charter Celebrations of 1934, when the Urban Borough of Sutton became the Sutton and Cheam Borough Council.
The Sutton United crest bears much resemblance to the arms granted to the new council on 16th October 1934, although certain colours have been changed, with the motto, "Serve God and Be Cheeful", replaced by the club name.

South London operator PF Whitehead has announced its determination to run a retail consolidation centre for South London.
But with a comittment from Transport for London (TfL) in its draft freight plan to increase the use of the centres, PF Whitehead believes it's ideally placed to take advantage of TfL's big ideas.
The centre would probably cover an area limited by the South London Freight Quality Partnership - this comprises eight London Boroughs from Kingston in the West to Bromley in the East.
