LONDON BRITAIN -- A year and a half ago, the township unanimously voted to adopt the American Lyme Disease Foundation’s deer feeder program to control the tick population.
Now, thanks to a $15,000 grant and a long-awaited EPA approval, the township is actively seeking locations within the township to place the feeders in hopes of considerably reducing, if not eradicating, the township’s tick population in the next two years.
London Britain plans to initiate the program in the spring when the tick cycle begins.
