London Motor Show 2003 - in June - 4Car News from Channel 4
Moving the show to June - the proposed dates are the 19th-29th - means that it will happen at a point in the calendar when it will not compete with other motor shows, and is a convenient time for manufacturers to unveil new models in advance of the September 1st registration changes.
The show will also host the first International Car Designer of the Year Awards, feature a new special business day, and be the centre of a London Motor Week, with a classic concours d'elegance competition in Hyde Park, amongst other initiatives.
At a press briefing yesterday, Kimble said: "London is one of the most important and dynamic car markets in the world, but motor shows need to develop to reflect the changing needs of the industry.

Motor Show may move to London - News Article - What Car?
Birmingham’s NEC could lose the British Motor Show, because the organisers are considering two rival venues in London.
Despite efforts to attract more visitors to the 2004 Birmingham show with live displays and the chance to drive cars, the SMMT was disappointed with an attendance of 461,000 — nearly 100,000 less than it had hoped for.
Moving the show from October to May is thought to have helped increase attendance, however, and the 2006 event is also expected to be held in the spring.
