Clark County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin.
The racial makeup of the county is 98.05% White, 0.13% Black or African American, 0.48% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.56% from other races, and 0.47% from two or more races.
In the county, the population is spread out with 29.90% under the age of 18, 7.70% from 18 to 24, 26.20% from 25 to 44, 20.20% from 45 to 64, and 16.00% who are 65 years of age or older.

 The GENE Shed - Niran Haskell Withee
He did much to shape policy and manage the affairs of Clark County, and was its treasurer 1875 until his brother Hiram succeeded him in 1882.
He represented county for two terms in the General Assembly of the State, where his abililit as an able leader was felt and acknowledged.
At Hemlock he built a grist and saw mill and cleared up a large farm, and at Longwood he built a stave and heading mill and cheese factory, the latter of which was the first built in that part of the county.

An 18-year-old woman drowned Sunday night in the Clark County town of Worden when the paddle boat in which she was riding capsized.
Clark County Chief Deputy Jim Backus said the boat sank because its occupants exceeded the recommended weight limit.
Hurst's body was recovered by dive teams from the Clark County Sheriff's Department and the Greenwood Fire Department around 10 p.m.

 The GENE Shed - Hiram Warren Varney
HIRAM W. VARNEY, of section 20, Warner Township, Clark County, was born in Somerset County, Maine, June 23, 1836, the son of Levi and Harriet (Steward) Varney.
Varney came to LaCrosse, Wisconsin, in August, 1865, and remained until 1868, when he removed to Mitchell County, Iowa, and was there engaged in farming two years, and also manufactured milk-safes and fanning-mills one year.
In 1871 he returned to La Crosse, and in the spring of 1873 came to this county, settling on his present farm of eighty acres, forty-five of which is cleared.

It certainly is a part of Clark Co. history and is indicative of the attitude of that era.
I recall; When coming from HWY 10 taking County G north, going to the corner were County H meets County G, there used to be a Yellow two story house/building on the corner on the right side when going north.
