A: http://personal.inet.fi/perhe/luukko/pk/ Elviira is a small bird living somewhere in southern Finland, that happened to spend and survive her winter in a birdbox with a webcam installed.
Several weeks ago, already, she most likely found a mate and moved elsewhere for doing what every pretty bird does in springtime.
If interested, keep checking out the site - some other bird couple might take it for summerhome.

Veļu mate is also called Kapu mate ("Graveyard mother"), and is said to receive the dead at cemeteries.
She is also identified with the fertility goddess Zemes mate ("mother of the soil").
