Lorcan Cranitch (born December 30, 1959) is an Irish actor.
Born in Dublin, Cranitch's first major role on UK television was as Tim Healy in the 1991 BBC drama series, Parnell and the Englishwoman.
Cranitch has appeared in several other UK television dramas, including Deacon Brodie (opposite Billy Connolly), Shackleton (opposite Kenneth Branagh) and Hornblower (opposite Ioan Gruffudd), and in the film, Dancing at Lughnasa.

Ballykissangel star Lorcan Cranitch has been lined up to take over from his late colleague Tony Doyle in the forthcoming BBC One drama, McCready and Daughter.
Cranitch, who plays businessman Sean Dillon in Ballykissangel, said: "I was deeply honoured and very moved to be asked to take the role written for my friend and colleague Tony Doyle."
In the new drama, which starts filming on Friday, Cranitch will play McCready, the "sheriff" of the Irish community in London's Kilburn.

The characters—freelance criminal psychologist Fitz (Robbie Coltrane), Det. Chief Bilborough (Christopher Eccleston), Inspector James Beck (Lorcan Cranitch), and Inspector Jane Penhaligon (Geraldine Somerville))—are still very engaging, with believeable personalities and dialogue, but many of the plot turns in the second go-round will leave most viewers stunned and in shock.
There are quite a number of unanswered questions left hanging, which hopefully will be resolved in Series Three.
