Henry Howard, 7th Duke of Norfolk, (January 11, 1655 – April 2, 1701), was a politician and soldier.
He was the son of Henry Howard, 6th Duke of Norfolk and Lady Anne Somerset, daughter of Edward Somerset, 2nd Marquess of Worcester and Elizabeth Dormer.
On June 20, 1685 he was appointed Colonel of the Suffolk Regiment, which at the time was called the Duke of Norfolk’s Regiment of Foot.

Lord Henry Howard was son of the Earl of Surrey, who was heir to the third Duke of Norfolk.
Lord Admiral Howard of Effingham and Lord Hunsdon had previously been Sussex's leading supporters for the Garter, the Admiral being Sussex's first cousin, Hunsdon his first cousin once removed, both were present for the 1589 election, and so Sussex was selected.

Mr Cashford said his research has found that 14 people were killed on beaches in the Cromer area of Norfolk, but he believes many others may have lost their lives and is eager to hear of these cases.
