The Right Honourable John Morris, Baron Morris of Aberavon, KG, PC, QC (born 5 November 1931), was a UK Labour member of Parliament for Aberavon.
John Morris was a barrister and was called to the Bar in 1954.
He was created Baron Morris of Aberavon and made a Knight of the Order of the Garter in 2003.

However, in relation to the noble Lord's second question, I appreciate that he believes that a way forward may be for an early statement of the issues considered by a Minister to be made before he arrives at a positive decision to make a statement of compatibility.
