	Fight to save Fusiliers
		ROCHDALE MP Lorna Fitzsimons today launched a campaign to save the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, which recruits from her area.
		Mrs Fitzsimons defended The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers after suggestions that Tony Blair had stepped in to save the Green Howards, which recruits in his constituency, leaving fears that the Fusiliers will be axed.
		The MP, who said she was married to an infantryman and was a lieutenant colonel in the armed forces' parliamentary scheme, talked of the heroic acts of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, which was created in 1685 and was the first regiment to get the "Royal" title.
