In the ghetto there were over 100,000 Jews expelled from the counties of Grojec, Lowicz, Skierniewice, and Sochaczew-Blonie in February-March 1941.
County of Bielsk-Podlaski In the ghetto of Bielsk-Podlaski there were 7,000 local Jews, and 4,000 more were brought there from Bocki, Bransk, Narew, and Orla.
They were deported in eleven transports, 1,000 in each transport.

There are already plans to digitize the 1891 returns and make them available on a county by county basis starting with London.
The society is also planning two genealogy workshops at the JCC in Owings Mills, Maryland, on March 14 and 21.

As one professional genealogist noted, one must know all the information on the certificate before obtaining it, but it is the lack of information (like names of parents) that motivates a genealogist to seek the record.
A few weeks ago, the U.S. government seized the birth records of Hudson County, New Jersey, because there is evidence these records were being used for a false-passport scheme despite the governor's new regulations.
So honest people did not have access to these records, but the thieves found a way to extract the information.
