SMITH, LOT, president of the Little Colorado Stake of Zion from 1878 to 1887, was born May 15, 1830, in Williams township, Oswego county, New York, son of Wm.
Lot was so prompt in carrying out this advice that several men in his charge left him and went home, they having a desire of gaining fame otherwise than according to the advice that Lot held and kept most sacred.

Lot Smith joined the Mormon Battalion at the age 16 and went to San Diego, where the group was mustered out of service.

Lot Smith played his part in helping to establish the pioneers in their new home in the west and lived his life in service to others until his later years when for unknown reasons he became a victim of his own anger and fury.

I think anybody can do it, but a lot of people close their ears as soon as you start talking about anything other than drawing the comic book.
There's a lot of work to be done and it all can be found in the library, which is where I found out about it all.

Although the loss of prime agricultural land is one concern of Smith Valley residents, the presentation of the Simpson-Colony Subdivision has received few complaints from local residents and the Lyon County Planning Commission (PlanCom).
Planning Commissioner Paula Rosaschi, who lives in Smith Valley, echoed this saying the residents have concerns about dust, but would also like to see the atmosphere remain rural in the valley.
