  Loughborough Endowed Schools - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Grammar School was founded by a priest paid to pray for the soul of wool merchant Thomas Burton who died in 1496 (though it is often credited as 1495).
The school moved to its present location in 1850, when it was then on the outskirts of town.
The school celebrated its quincentenary in 1995 and was visited by HM The Queen.

Loughborough Grammar School, founded in 1495, is amongst the oldest in the country.
The success of the School in the many areas covered by the word education is based on the concept of a family, albeit a very large one.
The Grammar School is, in fact, part of a larger family known as the Loughborough Endowed Schools and situated on the same campus are Loughborough High School for Girls and Fairfield School, the co-educational Lower School (ages 4-11) which prepares boys and girls for the Senior Schools.

 De Montfort University - Mooting Success
The De Montfort Law School student mooting teams have had so much success in mooting competitions against other universities, they are now passing on their skills to pupils across the East Midlands.
The Schools and Colleges Mooting Competition was introduced in January at Law Club (an initiative the University has run for local sixth formers for the past eight years).
The final will take place on Tuesday 5 March at De Montfort Law School, Elfed Thomas Building, Leicester city campus, and the finalists are: Joe Webster (formerly of Wyggeston QEI and currently on a gap year) and Paul Murphy from West Notts College in Mansfield; and Kaajal Chandrasingh and Anisha Chauhan from Leicester High School.

Loughborough started the second half brightly and their equaliser was well deserved.
At the British Schools National Mixed Tennis Finals 2005 held at the Bolton Arena, the school was represented by the 1st pairing of Alex Henderson and Will Simpson and the 2nd pairing of Kieron Doyle and Jo Thompson.

The school has a house system of four houses named after notable old boys; Abney, Davys, Putney and Yates; the houses are traditionally given equal standing.
The news was broken to the paper by an anonymous parent who added that there was a culture of binge drinking at the school.

Each year, this camp coincided with his younger brother David's birthday and for an annual present Peter dispatched a yellow melon packed in a tin and this was much appreciated by all the family.
School Old Boys Association and was a member of Loughborough Rotary Club of which he became president and was chairman of Quorn Parish Council for a time.
Marjorie was twice president of the Soroptomist Club of Loughborough of which she had been a member for many years and was past president and treasurer or the Quorn W.I. having been a keen member for many years.

Boys and teachers from Loughborough Grammar School joined forces with the local Rotary Clubs to raise funds for two local charities – Rainbows and the Leicestershire Life Education Caravans.
Teams of youngsters from Years 7 and 8, were supported in their efforts by three teams of teachers, including the “early birds” who took the plunge at 7a.m!, and Headmaster, Mr Paul Fisher.
Altogether, 18 teams took part, including groups from Outwoods Edge Primary School, Garendon High School, and Loughborough High School, whose contributions were most appreciated.

UPPINGHAM School’s under-14 girls are Leicestershire champions after triumphing in the one-day annual hockey tournament in Leicester.
In torrential rain and high winds at St Margaret’s Pasture, they saw off the challenge of 12 other teams to win the honour of representing the county in the Midlands finals later this month.
The team had relied on penalty flicks to win their semi final against Loughborough High School, while Leicester Grammar scored a late goal to defeat Oakham in the other semi.

I have an American girl in my form at school, and she's going to be 16 soon- but the rest of us are 14 and 15.....
Then, and this depends on what school district your in, you either go for 5 or 6 years to elementry school, mosltly likely in the same building you when to kindergarden in.
High of 7,8,9, they just depend on how many years you went to elementry school, and really dosent make much diffrence.

After the success of the KLB School teams during the 2003 —2004 season it was decided to put their ability to the test by going abroad to train and play matched against other school teams.
Spectators were vociferous in their cheering for KLB and this encouraged the girls to even higher standards of play.
The U16 result depended on the final match between KLB and Loughborough High School U18 team; after an extremely close match KLB went down 3-4, but their standard of play was exceptional.
