I've read that Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, wife of Friedrich Wilhelm III, King of Prussia and mother of both Friedrich Wilhelm IV and of Kaiser Wilhelm I, was supposed to have been a looker.
According to one of my books on the Napoleonic Wars (and this is from memory), a Prussian officer was said to have exclaimed: "How beautiful she is! I would have willingly given my right eye to spend as much time with her as the King does".
In fury, Wu opened the gates of the Great Wall to the Manchu, who marched in, threw out Li Zi Cheng's government, and establied the new Qing dynasty in Beijing.
