	LOVE... the band
		Everything the band did in this period was a blend of elements that worked in ways that added up to more that their parts.
		It seems odd that Love went further and further from anything resembling blues-rock after their first album, and the Doors came out with a stunningly peculiar first album, then grew into bloated blues-rock as they got older.
		The song that fascinated me with Love in the first place is still my favorite, as it's one of the closest things I have heard by anyone to some confused chemical messianic vision.

		Love and Rockets were formed in 1985 by Bauhaus alumni Daniel Ash (guitars, saxophone, and vocals), David J (bass and vocals) and Kevin Haskins (drums, synthesizers) after Peter Murphy was not interested in reforming Bauhaus.
		The result was a move to a much more electronic sound that had more in common with the Orb than their rock or goth roots.

		The band on stage sounded more and more interesting - very rhythmically involving with a jazzy tinge.
		Took my cameras and went on the side of the stage - good fiddle playing, very strong - what was really impressive was the drumming - with what looked like improvised homemade drums out of old oil drums - the guy was producing some really intriguing sounds - like tablas.
		This was a pretty strong band and made a lot of interesting sounds for a 4 piece - every person was strong and contributed to the music.

		I saw the Country joe band last year on the Isle of Wight & they were briliant in fact i spent the afternoon with them & got all my original records signed.
		There was a great atmosphere, which I managed to get on the recording, the band were on form and the sound was good - The only bad thing was the temprature in the venue - it was really hot in the venue.
		Saw LOVE at the borderline last year, and thought it was a great little venue, and look forward to CJ in August.

	My First Band - Devoted to amateur garage bands from the 60s.
		In May 1967 the band got a residency two nights a week for 3 months at the Royal George Hotel in Sussex St in the city centre of Sydney.
		This band actually did TV appearances, recorded and even was signed to a record contract (although we never released a record in the end).
		He then joined the Gypsy Jokers motorcycle group (he always loved his cars and bikes) and was tragically killed in a bike accident in November 1973.
