		I love the opening lines, his voice is really sexy and the introduction leading up to it is great as well.

		I think what made HIM so special in the Rock community was Valo's voice and the passionate music that was performed on "Greatest Love Songs" and "Deep Shadows" and "Brilliant Highlights".
		Perhaps, I wasn't in a good mood when I first heard it, but as I listen again, all the trade mark sounds are there along with the romantic voice of Valo and the dark lyrics that make this band so grand.
		I guess when I first heard "Buried Alive By Love" I was taken aback a bit and expected a whole new direction from the band.

		The sound on love metal is the perfect balance between the sharper rock sound of "Razorblade..." and the pop acoustic sound of "Deep Shadows..." There are acoustic guitars but it doesn't kill the song like on their last album.
		So at the end the lyrics are quite gothy but do have a sense of love in them just not the kind of love you expect to hear on a Atomic kitten cd.
		I love the dark theme of the album, and the way in which every song has clearly been carefully worked on until it sounds just right.

		In fact, Eagles of Death Metal has as little to do with Glen Frey’s old band as it does with morbid, thrashing music.
		The bait and switch moniker is a gag contrived by singer-guitarist J. Everett Hughes (death metal handle: "J. Devil Huge") and drummer Carlo Von Sexron (death metal handle: "Baby Duck"), although the real inside skinny is that the latter is actually Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age fame.
		Eagles of Death Metal’s debut Peace Love Death Metal is a raucous outing in the tradition of The White Stripes and North Mississippi Allstars, but after examining the packaging of the album, it’s clear that the group doesn’t take itself too seriously.

		The interviews (especially for Love Metal) are interesting as well as you get a good insight into the music and the style.
		This is basically a Making Of for "And Love Said No", "Buried Alive by Love" and "The Sacrement" focussing on the band on a more personal level.

		What started as a grim little offshoot of post-punk has, through dozen of pop-cultural permutations too random to understand, evolved into a style as confused as its typical teenage listener: Juggling the contradictory menace of the Antichrist Superstar and the wallowing, down-in-the-dumps misery of half-assed teenage suicide attempts.
		Although HIM (shorthand for His Infernal Majesty) isn’t quite as confused as, say neo-Goth icons like Marilyn Manson or AFI, Love Metal sure can’t muster the same sort of cold dread as Bauhaus, the graying misery of early-years Cure or the brooding discontent of Christian Death.
		The album opens with promising riffs, though “Buried Alive By Love” quickly deteriorates into clichéd high-school poetry in which love and morbid imagery clumsily exchange bodily fluids.

		The latest addition to this list is "Love Metal" and clearly this is the band at their most polished.
		Kicking it right into gear is "Buried Alive By Love" which is a tune that brings to mind the killer tracks of early Idol and shows quickly how Ville has become the favored showman that he is. It is perhaps my favorite of the entire piece.
		The lineup has not changed with Burton, Gas, Mige, Linde and Ville still bringing you their stylish Gothic Music or "Love Metal" as its become known.
