		And Lovedrive, a new band paying tribute to the German metal legends The Scorpions—of all bands—offers a sterling rendition of their idols’ greatest hits.
		Lovedrive makes no attempt to look like The Scorpions, which would be pretty pointless, as there’s nothing remarkable about the band’s actual look.
		Lovedrive is firing on all cylinders; they need nothing but a bigger audience—that, and the lead singer should memorize the lyrics.

		The decision to jettison Roth (and all the Hendrix-ian baggage that came with him) was the first of many smart moves made by the band.
		"Lovedrive" however is a four star effort and I believe the best album ever made by Scorpions.

		I discovered this masterpiece by accident when a friend left his cassette at my place for a few days some 25 years ago and I haven't stopped being awed since.
		To me that is a good thing and fortunately these songs are very well done with this being a good example.

		The opening 5 tracks are awesome and 'Lovedrive', driven by Michael Schenker, is a beauty.
		Even the weaker songs such as 'Is there anybody there?' and 'Holiday' belong on this great record.
