  Pittwater Council - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Pittwater shire was named after an estuary of Broken Bay which the shire surrounds, Broken Bay forms the mouth of the Hawkesbury River, the main river which formed the Cumberland Plain and Sydney basin.
Pittwater, being one of a number of arms leading off the main Hawkesbury river coastal inlet of Broken Bay, was formed as a drowned river valley after sea levels rose due to the last ice age.
The Pittwater estuary is approximately 10 kilometres in length and varies from several hundred metres to almost three kilometres (between Clareville in the east and Towlers Bay in the west) in width.

 Richie Lovett to undergo surgery for cancer treatment
Lovett started experiencing problems with his right hip during the final stages of the 2005 top tier Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Championship Tour (WCT).
Lovett's surgery is due to be completed on Monday 16th January 2006 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Obviously Lovett is completely blown away by the news, however he remains positive saying last week " I will face this thing head on and fight.

The Lovett's were inshore fisherman in Aquaforte, Newfoundland for many years, in an area that is homogenously Irish along a 100 mile stretch of coast except for a couple of English families at Aquaforte and this leads to the confusion as to whether our Lovetts are English or Irish.
I suspect, but am not sure that John is the father of Thomas Lovett of the Retreat, Aquaforte who appears on the 1840 Voters List, Ferryland District (Session Court Records), Provincial Archives, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
This could mean that the Richard Lovett who married an Anne Evans and had a son Thomas in 1861 is in my direct line.

The nonprofit Turtle Bay Association fighting expansion predicts "there will be enormous pressure, local, national and international, to yield to the United Nations."

Morton Plant has joined a growing number of hospitals in the Tampa Bay area with a new breed of specialist on staff -- a hospitalist, or a physician who is usually an internist, who specializes in providing care to patients while they are hospitalized.
Two locally owned firms -- Bay Area Hospitalists PA and Synergy Medical Group PA -- also have been adding physicians and hospital coverage, primarily in Hillsborough County.
Bay Area Hospitalists started in 2000 with two physicians and now has 12 doctors, said Dr. Humayun Mian, co-founder of the group.

A preliminary decision from AHCA is expected in mid-June, said Amy Lovett, a BayCare spokeswoman.
